Section 411.241 - Office of Audit and Review The commission shall establish the office of audit and review. The office shall coordinate activities designed to promote effectiveness in departmental operations and to keep the commission and the legislature fully informed about deficiencies within the department. The office shall:
(1) inspect and audit departmental programs and operations for efficiency, uniformity, and compliance with established procedures and develop recommendations for improvement;(2) coordinate and be responsible for promoting accountability, integrity, and efficiency in the department; and(3) provide the commission with information relevant to its oversight of the department.Tex.
