Section 2175.301 - Surplus Property of Legislature(a) This chapter does not apply to disposition of surplus property by either house of the legislature under a disposition system provided by rules of the administration committee of each house.(b) If surplus property of either house of the legislature is sold, proceeds of the sale shall be deposited in the state treasury to the credit of that house's appropriation.(c) An agency in the legislative branch shall dispose of its surplus or salvage property under a disposition system established by the agency. This chapter does not apply to the agency's disposition of its surplus or salvage property under that system. That system shall give preference to transferring the property directly to, in order of priority:(2) another public governmental agency; or(3) an assistance organization.Tex. Gov't. Code § 2175.301
