Section 396.252 - Fraudulent, Deceptive, or Misleading Representations In enforcing a child support obligation, a private child support enforcement agency or employee of the agency may not:
(1) identify the agency by any name other than one by which the agency is authorized to do business under the laws of this state;(2) falsely represent the nature of the child support enforcement activities in which the agency is authorized by law to engage; or(3) falsely represent that an oral or written communication is the communication of an attorney.Amended by Acts 2019, Texas Acts of the 86th Leg.- Regular Session, ch. 20,Sec. 36, eff. 9/1/2019.Added by Acts 2001, 77th Leg., ch. 1023, Sec. 73, eff. 9/1/2001.
