Section 158.003 - Purpose; Rules(a) The purpose of this chapter is to provide regulatory authority to ensure that residential mortgage loan servicers registered under this chapter comply with federal and state laws, rules, and regulations.(b) The finance commission may adopt and enforce rules necessary for the purposes of or to ensure compliance with this chapter.(c) The finance commission shall consult with the commissioner when proposing and adopting rules under this chapter.Added by Acts 2011, 82nd Leg., R.S., Ch. 588, Sec. 1, eff. 9/1/2011.
