Section 262.403 - Court Order Required(a) Subject to Subsection (b), the department must obtain a court order from a court of competent jurisdiction to compel the family of a child who is a candidate for foster care to obtain family preservation services and complete the family preservation services plan.(b) The department is not required to obtain a court order to provide family preservation services to a pregnant or parenting foster youth.Added by Acts 2021, Texas Acts of the 87th Leg. - Regular Session, ch. 269,Sec. 2, eff. 9/1/2021.
