Section 28.010 - Notification Regarding College Credit and Work-Based Education Programs(a) Each school year, a school district shall notify the parent of each district student enrolled in grade nine or above of: (1) the availability of: (A) programs in the district under which a student may earn college credit, including advanced placement programs, dual credit programs, joint high school and college credit programs, and international baccalaureate programs; (B) career and technology education programs or other work-based education programs in the district, including any internship, externship, or apprenticeship programs or a P-TECH program under Subchapter N, Chapter 29; (C) subsidies based on financial need available for fees paid to take college advanced placement tests or international baccalaureate examinations under Section 28.054; and (D) funding for enrollment in dual credit courses under Section 28.0095; and (2) the qualifications for: (A) enrolling in programs described by Subdivision (1)(A) or (B); or (B) funding described by Subdivision (1)(D). (b) A school district may provide the notification required by this section on the district's Internet website.
