Section 21.503 - Eligibility A person is eligible for the program if the person:
(1) has served in the armed forces of the United States;(2) is honorably discharged, retired, or released from active duty on or after October 1, 1990, after at least six years of continuous active duty service immediately before the discharge, retirement, or release;(3) has received a baccalaureate or advanced degree from a public or private institution of higher education accredited by a regional accrediting agency or group that is recognized by a nationally recognized accreditation board; and(4) satisfies any other criteria for selection jointly prescribed by the agency and the State Board for Educator Certification.Added by Acts 1999, 76th Leg., ch. 396, Sec. 2.07(a), eff. 9/1/1999.
