Section 56B.301 - Award of Attorney's Fees(a) As part of an order, the attorney general shall determine and award reasonable attorney's fees commensurate with legal services rendered, to be paid by the state to the attorney representing the claimant or victim.(b) Attorney's fees may be denied on a finding that the claim or appeal is frivolous.(c) An award of attorney's fees is in addition to an award of compensation.(d) Attorney's fees may not be paid to an attorney of a claimant or victim unless an award is made to the claimant or victim.Tex.
