Section 56B.204 - Assignment of Benefits for Loss Accruing In Future(a) Except as provided by Subsections (b) and (c), an assignment of or agreement to assign a right to benefits for loss accruing in the future is unenforceable.(b) An assignment of a right to benefits for loss of earnings is enforceable to secure payment of alimony, maintenance, or child support.(c) An assignment of a right to benefits is enforceable to the extent that the benefits are for the cost of a product, service, or accommodation: (1) made necessary by the injury or death on which the claim is based; and(2) provided or to be provided by the assignee.Tex.
