Section 56A.506 - Victim or Witness Contact Information; Confidentiality(a) A victim or witness who wants notification under this subchapter must: (1) provide the department, the sheriff, or the community supervision and corrections department supervising the defendant, as appropriate, with the e-mail address, mailing address, and telephone number of the victim, witness, or other person through whom the victim or witness may be contacted; and(2) notify the appropriate department or the sheriff of any change of address or telephone number of the victim, witness, or other person.(b) Information obtained and maintained by the department, a sheriff, or a community supervision and corrections department under this article is privileged and confidential.Tex.
