Section 42A.507 - Community Supervision for Certain Defendants Identified As Members of Criminal Street Gangs; Electronic Monitoring(a) This article applies only to a defendant who:(1) is identified as a member of a criminal street gang in an intelligence database established under Chapter 67; and(2) has two or more times been previously convicted of, or received a grant of deferred adjudication community supervision or another functionally equivalent form of community supervision or probation for, a felony offense under the laws of this state, another state, or the United States.(b) A court granting community supervision to a defendant described by Subsection (a) may, on the defendant's conviction of a felony offense, require as a condition of community supervision that the defendant submit to tracking under an electronic monitoring service or other appropriate technological service designed to track a person's location.Tex.
