Section 63-14-110 - Penalties(a)(1) Any person who practices as a dispensing optician as defined in this chapter without first complying with this chapter or who violates any of this chapter commits a Class B misdemeanor.(2) Each time any person practices as a dispensing optician without meeting all the requirements of this chapter and of any other law, a compliance with which may hereafter be prescribed as a condition precedent to the practice of such profession, constitutes a separate offense.(3) All fines for offenses for the violation of this chapter shall be paid over to the board and shall be paid to the state treasurer as all other funds received by the board.(b) Nothing in this chapter shall be construed as applying to physicians or optometrists licensed under the laws of this state to practice their professions, nor shall such licensed physicians or optometrists be subject to the jurisdiction of the board created by this chapter.Acts 1955, ch. 98, § 7; T.C.A., § 63-1409; Acts 1989, ch. 591, § 112.
