Section 80.84.010 - DefinitionsThe definitions in this section apply throughout this chapter unless the context clearly requires otherwise.
(1) "Eligible coal plant" means a coal-fired electric generation facility that: (a) Is owned in whole or in part by more than one electrical company as of January 1, 2016; and(b) provides, as a portion of the load served by the coal-fired electric generation facility, electricity paid for in rates by customers in the state of Washington.(2) "Eligible coal unit" means any generating unit of an eligible coal plant.Amended by 2019 c 288,§ 16, eff. 5/7/2019.Added by 2016 c 220,§ 1, eff. 6/9/2016.Findings-Intent-Effective date- 2019 c 288 : See RCW 19.405.010 and 19.405.901.
