The consent of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is hereby granted in accordance with the seventeenth clause, eighth section, of the first article of the Constitution of the United States, to the acquisition by the United States of America of a certain tract of land lying in the city of Wilkes-Barre, Luzerne County, Pennsylvania, for use as a site for a Veterans' Administration Hospital bounded and described as follows:
Beginning at an iron pin set for a corner on the southerly right-of-way line of the State Highway, new Route No. 169, leading to Bear Creek, and in the southwesterly side line of lands of George Skelton; thence, from said beginning point and along the line of lands of George Skelton and along the line of lands of Parsons and Flick Estates, South 49°17' East, 447.93 feet to an iron pin set for a corner; thence, from said pin South 14°01' West, 1246.77 feet to an iron pin set for a corner on the northerly right-of-way line of the State Highway, old Route No. 169; thence, from said pin along the northerly right-of-way line of said State Highway, old Route No. 169, North 68°43 1/2 ' West 1921.88 feet to a point at the intersection of the said northerly right-of-way line of the State Highway, old Route No. 169, with the easterly right-of-way line of the State Highway, Route No. 515; thence, from said point and along the easterly, northerly and southeasterly right-of-way line of the said State Highway, Route No. 515 by the following eight straight and curved lines:
(1) North 21°16 1/2 ' East, 25.00 feet to a point; and thence, (2) North 68°43 1/2 ' West, 25.00 feet to a point of curve; and thence, (3) by a curve to the right in a northwesterly direction, having a radius of 100.00 feet with a chord course of North 22°03 3/4 ' West, and a chord distance of 145.45 feet and an arc right-of-way line distance of 162.88 feet to a point of compound curve; and thence, (4) by a curve to the right in a northeasterly direction, having a radius of 1382.69 feet with a chord course of North 36°35' East, and a chord distance of 573.40 feet and an arc right-of-way line distance of 577.57 feet to a spike on said right-of-way line; and thence, (5) by a curve to the right in a northeasterly direction, having a radius of 1382.69 feet with a chord course of North 51°25' East, and a chord distance of 141.31 feet and an arc right-of-way line distance of 141.38 feet to a point; and thence, (6) South 35°36 1/2 ' East, 25.00 feet to a point; and thence, (7) by a curve to the right in a northeasterly direction, having a radius of 1357.69 feet, with a chord course of North 58°28 1/2 ' East, and a chord distance of 193.30 feet and an arc right-of-way line distance of 193.44 feet to a point; and thence, (8) by a curve to the right in a northeasterly direction, having a radius of 1357.69 feet, with a chord course of North 65°19' East, and a chord distance of 131.56 feet and an arc right-of-way line distance of 131.62 feet to a point at the intersection of the southeasterly right-of-way line of State Highway, Route No. 515 with the southerly right-of-way line of the first above mentioned State Highway, new Route No. 169 leading to Bear Creek; thence, from said point and along the southerly right-of-way line of said State Highway, new Route No. 169, South 87°29' East, 1071.72 feet to the line of lands of George Skelton, the place of beginning, containing approximately 50.798 acres.1947, June 21, P.L. 795, § 1.
