Section 9913-C - Procedure for approval by political subdivisions(a) Notice to political subdivisions.--The department shall promptly notify political subdivisions in which a designated strategic development area is located.(b) Approval by political subdivisions.-- A political subdivision may approve the designation of a strategic development area and grant the exemptions, deductions, abatements or credits for a strategic development area as provided in Part VII by enacting an ordinance, resolution or other required action by the governing body of the political subdivision approving the designation as a strategic development area and exempting or providing the deductions, abatement or credits provided in Part VII to qualified persons and qualified businesses therein. All appropriate ordinances and resolutions must be effective for the period specified insection 2911-C(c) and must be binding and nonrevocable as to the political subdivision. Such political subdivision shall notify the department upon its election to approve the designation of a strategic development area and to grant the benefits provided in Part VII.1971, March 4, P.L. 6, No. 2, art. XXIX-C, § 2913-C, added 2006, Nov. 20, P.L. 1385, No. 151, § 2, imd. effective.
