Section 1301.25 - Penalties(a) Any person who, without proper cause, fails to render any report or perform other duties required under this article, shall, upon conviction in a summary proceeding be sentenced to pay a fine of one hundred dollars ($100) for each day such report is withheld, but not more than ten thousand dollars ($10,000).(b) Any person who, without proper cause, refuses to pay or deliver property to the State Treasurer as required under this article shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon conviction thereof, shall be sentenced to pay a fine of not less than one thousand dollars ($1,000) nor more than ten thousand dollars ($10,000), or imprisonment for not more than twenty-four (24) months, or both.(c) Upon good cause shown, the State Treasurer may waive, in whole or in part, interest and penalties under subsections (a) and (b) and shall waive penalties if the holder acted in good faith and without negligence. (d) A person who is found to have violated section 1301.11 or 1301.11a, in addition to other sanctions under this article, shall be guilty of a misdemeanor of the third degree and shall, upon conviction, be sentenced to pay a fine not to exceed one thousand dollars ($1,000) for the first offense. A person who is found guilty of a subsequent offense shall be subject to a fine not to exceed five thousand dollars ($5,000).
