Section 867 - Oath and bond

The auditor general, before he enters upon the duties of his office, shall take the oaths or affirmations of office, agreeably to the directions of the Constitution of the United States and this commonwealth, and become bound in an obligation with two or more sureties to be approved by the governor, in the sum of five thousand dollars, conditioned for the true and faithful performance of the trusts confided, and duties enjoined and required by law to be performed by him.
