Whenever, in the judgment of the board, a person has engaged in an act or practice which constitutes or will constitute a violation of this act, the board or its agents may make application to the appropriate court for an order enjoining such act or practice and, upon a showing by the board that the person has engaged or is about to engage in such act or practice, an injunction, restraining order or such order as may be appropriate shall be granted by the court. The remedy by injunction is in addition to any other civil or criminal prosecution and punishment.
