Section 1709 - Examinations(a) Preparation of examinations.--All written examinations shall be prepared and administered by a qualified professional testing organization under contract with the Bureau of Professional and Occupational Affairs and approved by the board, except that national uniform examinations or grading services or both shall be used if available. No board member shall have a financial interest in a professional testing organization. This section shall not apply to any oral, practical or other nonwritten examination which may be required by the board.(b) Cost of examinations.--The purpose of the examination fee which is to be established in accordance with section 8(a) is to insure that the applicant's fees cover the entire cost of the examination and administration.
