Section 1144 - Board of trustees
(a) The foundation shall be administered by a board of fifteen trustees consisting of the Governor, the secretary, the Commissioner of Mental Health and twelve trustees appointed by the Governor for terms of three years each and until their respective successors shall be duly appointed and qualified. Of the original appointed trustees the terms of three shall expire on December 31, 1957, the terms of three shall expire on December 31, 1958, and the terms of three shall expire on December 31, 1959. Of the three additional appointed trustees, the term of one shall expire December 31, 1964, the term of one shall expire December 31, 1965, and the term of one shall expire December 31, 1966. Any trustee may be reappointed. Any person appointed to fill a vacancy shall serve for the unexpired term.
(b) The members of the board shall not be entitled to any compensation for their services as members.
(c) Eight members of the board shall constitute a quorum and any action taken by a majority of a quorum present at a duly convened meeting of the board shall be the legal action of the board.
(d) The secretary shall be the chairman of the board and the foundation shall have such other officers as the board deems necessary.
(e) The board shall meet regularly at least three times each year and specially upon the call of the chairman.
