Section 56301-A - Township manager(a)Authorization.--The board of commissioners may create by ordinance the office of township manager and, in like manner, abolish the office. While the office exists, the board of commissioners may appoint one individual, a partnership, a limited partnership, an association or a professional corporation as the township manager.(b)Nature of office.--The township manager shall serve at the pleasure of the board of commissioners, subject to contractual rights that may arise under an employment agreement or professional services agreement that may be entered in accordance with section 1302-A.1931, June 24, P.L. 1206, No. 331, art. XIII-A, § 1301-A, added 2020, Oct. 29, P.L. 782, No. 96, § 44, effective in 60 days [Dec. 28, 2020].
