The Allegheny avenue wharf and land company, incorporated by a decree of the court of common pleas of the county of Philadelphia, made the nineteenth day of September, Anno Domini one thousand eight hundred and fifty-three, shall have power to erect upon the property belonging to them, situate on the river Delaware, a wharf or wharves, with piers, bulkheads, slips, sluices and docks, in accordance with the rules and regulations of the board of wardens of the port of Philadelphia, and to let, demise, sell, dispose of and convey to their stockholders or others, the whole or any part of their said property, and to confirm unto the purchasers their title to the same; and all the rights, powers, privileges and franchises conferred upon the said company by the said decree of the said court are hereby confirmed.
