Any violation of the provisions of this act, or of any of the rules and regulations hereby authorized, shall constitute a misdemeanor, punishable, on summary conviction before a magistrate, by a fine of not less than two dollars or more than ten dollars; or imprisonment, in default of fine, of not less than one day or more than five days, subject to appeal as in other cases of summary conviction.
