The house or building drain must be provided with a horizontal intercepting trap, placed inside the cellar wall, or as close thereto as practical, allowing for construction circumstances, and the approval of the board or bureau of health. The trap must be provided with a hand-hole, for convenience in cleaning, the cover of which must be properly fitted and made gas- and air-tight, with heavy brass screw-cap ferrule, caulked in. This class of traps shall be subject to the approval of the board or bureau of health.
