Section 4000.1713 - Public information(a)General rule.--Except as provided in subsection (b), records, reports or other information obtained under this act shall be available to the public for inspection or copying during regular business hours.(b)Confidentiality.--The department may, upon request, designate records, reports or information as confidential when the person providing the information demonstrates all of the following:(1) The information contains the trade secrets, processes, operations, style of work or apparatus of a person or is otherwise confidential business information.(2) The information does not relate to public health, safety, welfare, or the environment.(c)Separation of information.--When submitting information under this act, a person shall designate the information which the person believes is confidential or shall submit that information separately from other information being submitted. 1988, July 28, P.L. 556, No. 101, § 1713, effective in 60 days.
