Cities shall have the power to take, purchase, or acquire through condemnation proceedings property for the purpose of erecting, providing, maintaining, and operating thereon playgrounds, playfields, gymnasiums, public baths, swimming pools, indoor recreation centers, comfort stations, waiting stations, and drinking fountains.
