Section 626.13 - Violation of act(a) Unfair practices.--A violation of this act shall be considered a violation of the act of July 22, 1974 (P.L. 589, No. 205), known as the Unfair Insurance Practices Act.(b) Unlicensed practice.--A person who, without an appropriate license, engages in the business of viatical settlements in this Commonwealth as a viatical settlement provider or viatical settlement broker commits a felony of the third degree.2002, July 4, P.L. 699, No. 107, § 13, effective in 180 days.
