Section 221.24 - Notice to creditors and others
(a) The liquidator shall give notice of the liquidation order as soon as possible by first class mail and either by telegram or telephone to the insurance commissioner of each jurisdiction in which the insurer is licensed to do business, by first class mail and by telephone to any responsible guaranty association of this Commonwealth, by first class mail to all insurance agents having a duty under section 525 and to all known policyholders, creditors and claimants.
(b) Notice to potential claimants under subsection (a) shall require claimants to file with the liquidator their claims together with proper proofs thereof under section 538 , on or before a date the liquidator shall specify in the notice. All claimants shall have a duty to keep the liquidator informed of any change of address.
