If any such debtor shall satisfy the claims of his creditors, the court shall order his estate and effects, not sold, to be restored to him, or his legal representatives, and he shall, by virtue of such order, be seized or possessed thereof as of his former estate and title thereto, and if, upon the final settlement of accounts by the trustees, there shall be a surplus, after payment of all the claims presented and allowed, the same shall be paid to such debtor, or his legal representatives.
