Section 1062 - Penalty for violation of act

And every person offending against the provisions of this act, shall for every such offense, and each month's continuance of the same after notice, forfeit and pay to the county in which the offense is committed, if such county has established a county department of health or is within the jurisdiction of a joint-county department of health, or to the board of health if in a city or borough which is not within the jurisdiction of a county department of health or joint-county department of health, or to the school board of the district or township if in a township which is not within the jurisdiction of a county department of health or joint-county department of health, the sum of fifty dollars, to be recovered as debts of that amount are recoverable, and also to be liable to indictment at common law for creating and maintaining a nuisance.
