Section 6250.704-A - Grants(a) Single application.--There shall be a single multiagency application for the grants awarded under this chapter. An application must demonstrate: (1) The number of dislocated workers or others that will receive training.(2) The existence of job opportunities directly related to the training.(3) How the training will support existing and in-demand industry sectors and occupations within this Commonwealth which are identified in the strategic plan of the local workforce development board or by industry clusters identified by the participating agencies and the board. (4) Private sector participation in training design and placement of training recipients.(b) Applications and guidelines.--The participating agencies, in consultation with the board and local workforce development boards, shall develop grant applications, establish guidelines, develop forms and institute such procedures, including the utilization of participating agency resources, as may be necessary to implement the provisions of this chapter.(c) Information.--The participating agencies shall require such information and records from each applicant and its authorized training providers as deemed necessary to carry out its responsibilities under this chapter.(d) Limitations.--A local workforce development board, a certified economic development organization and a greenhouse may not serve as a training provider for these grants.(e) Board recommendations.--Beginning October 1, 2003, and each year thereafter, the board may recommend changes in the operation and funding of the program to the Governor and the General Assembly. The recommendations shall be made after the board consults with local workforce development boards, secondary schools and postsecondary institutions.Amended by P.L.
