Section 6111-C - Transition(a)Expired March 11, 2000, pursuant to 16 P.S. § 6113-C(b)Expired March 11, 2000, pursuant to 16 P.S. § 6113-C(c) The question of changing the form of government approved by the electors as set forth in the charter may not be submitted to the electors earlier than five years (5) after the date which the charter was approved by referendum.(d)(1) Notwithstanding the provisions of section 912.1(35) of the act of June 3, 1937 (P.L. 1333, No. 320), known as the "Pennsylvania Election Code," the minimum number of valid signatures of registered and enrolled members of the proper political party required for a nomination petition for the office of district county council member in counties of the second class shall be two hundred fifty.(2) Notwithstanding the provisions of section 913 of the "Pennsylvania Election Code," the filing fee required for acceptance of nomination petitions for the office of district county council member in counties of the second class shall be fifty dollars ($50).(e)(1) Notwithstanding the provisions of section 912.1(16) of the "Pennsylvania Election Code," the minimum number of valid signatures of registered and enrolled members of the proper political party required for a nomination petition for the office of at-large county council member in counties of the second class shall be five hundred.(2) Notwithstanding the provisions of section 913 of the "Pennsylvania Election Code," the filing fee required for acceptance of nomination petitions for the office of at large county council member in counties of the second class shall be one hundred dollars ($100).1953, July 28, P.L. 723, No. 230, § 3111-C, added 1997, May 20, P.L. 149, No. 12, § 3, imd. effective.
