The county authorized by this act to acquire property for and operate and maintain any fairgrounds, parks, parkways, bridle paths, horse show rings, foot paths, playgrounds, playfields, gymnasiums, public baths, swimming pools or indoor recreation centers may acquire property for such purposes, and operate and maintain the same jointly with any other county or any city, borough, township or school district.
