Section 5101 - Appropriation of money or land for national guard armories
(a) The board of commissioners may, either independently or in connection with any other county or with any city, town, borough or township, provide and appropriate moneys, or convey land to the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, to assist the Armory Board of the State of Pennsylvania in the erection, wherever deemed most advantageous by the Armory Board, of armories for the use of the National Guard of Pennsylvania. The board of commissioners may acquire land for such purpose, either by purchase at tax sale, by gift, by the right of eminent domain, or otherwise.
(b) The board of commissioners may also furnish water, light or fuel, either or all, free of cost to the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, for use in any armory of the National Guard, and may do all things necessary to accomplish such purpose.
