Section 9734 - Disclosure of presentence report to the parties

This section is suspended by Pa.R.Crim.P. Rule 1101(6) as being inconsistent with Chapter 7 of the Rules of Criminal Procedure.

(a) General ruleBefore imposing sentence, the court shall afford counsel for the prosecution and the defense a reasonable opportunity to read but only in the discretion of the court to copy the presentence report.
(b) Restrictions on disclosureThe court may in its discretion require counsel not to disclose specified parts of the report.
