Section 6204 - Validity of unsworn declaration(a) General rule.--Except as set forth in subsection (b), if a law of this Commonwealth requires or permits use of a sworn declaration, an unsworn declaration meeting the requirements of this chapter has the same effect as a sworn declaration.(b)Exception.--This chapter does not apply to:(3) an oath or affirmation required to be given before a specified official other than a notary public;(4) a declaration relating to real property required or authorized to be recorded; and(5) an oath or affirmation required by 20 Pa.C.S. § 3132.1 (relating to self-proved wills).Added by P.L. 609 2013 No. 73, § 1.1, eff. 12/8/2013.
