Section 8665 - Funeral establishments(a)General rule.--Except as set forth in subsection (b), a funeral director or a funeral establishment shall not: (1) remove vascularized composite allografts from a corpse;(2) permit others to remove vascularized composite allografts from a corpse; or(3) use funeral establishment facilities to remove vascularized composite allografts from a corpse.(b)Exception.--Subsection (a) shall not apply and removal is permissible if the removal is: (1) necessary to perform embalming or other services in preparation for burial or cremation; and(2) authorized in writing by a family member or guardian.Added by P.L.
