Section 811.480 - Illegal backing; penalty(1) A person commits the offense of illegal backing if the person backs a vehicle the person is driving when it is not safe to do so or when it causes interference with other traffic upon a highway.(2) The offense described in this section, illegal backing, is a Class D traffic violation. 1983 c.338 §653; 1995 c.383 §75
