Section 731.259 - Requirement for written notice to insured; rules
(1) The Department of Consumer and Business Services may require an insurer to provide a written notice to an insured to fully effectuate any law the department is responsible for enforcing, including, but not limited to, laws regarding:
(a) Enrollment periods.
(b) The termination of coverage.
(c) The availability of coverage outside of an open enrollment period.
(d) The rights of insureds.
(2) The department may prescribe by rule the form, manner and contents of any required notices. Any requirements must be designed to minimize the administrative burden on insurers, including by allowing notices to be combined into one notice, as appropriate.
