Section 342.433 - Definitions for ORS 342.433 to 342.449 As used in ORS 342.433 to 342.449 and 350.100:
(1) "Diverse" means culturally or linguistically diverse characteristics of a person, including: (a) Origins in any of the black racial groups of Africa but is not Hispanic;(b) Hispanic culture or origin, regardless of race;(c) Origins in any of the original peoples of the Far East, Southeast Asia, the Indian subcontinent or the Pacific Islands;(d) Origins in any of the original peoples of North America, including American Indians or Alaska Natives; or(e) A first language that is not English.(2) "Educator" means a teacher or an administrator.Amended by 2021 Ch. 97, § 34, eff. 1/1/2022.Amended by 2015 Ch. 188, § 1, eff. 1/1/2016.Amended by 2013 Ch. 778, § 1, eff. 8/14/2013.1991 c.434 §6; 1993 c.45 §175
