Section 332.012 - Method for increasing number of board members(1) Except as provided in ORS 255.400 to 255.424, a district school board may increase the number of board members from five members to seven members on its own motion, or the district school board: (a) May submit the question to the electors of the school district; or(b) Shall submit the question to the electors of the school district when a petition is filed as provided in this section.(2) Subject to ORS 332.118, a petition filed under this section shall be prepared, circulated and filed as provided for an initiative petition in ORS 255.135 to 255.205.Amended by 2019 Ch. 449,§ 29, eff. 9/29/2019, op. 1/1/2020.
