Section 16-211 - First election held in strong-mayor-council cityAt the first general municipal election held in the odd-numbered year following adoption of the statutory strong-mayor-council form of government, the officers to be elected and their terms are as follows:
1. Four-year terms: Councilmembers from Wards One, Two and Five (if one).2. Two-year terms: Councilmembers from Wards Three, Four and Six (if one); and the mayor. At general municipal elections held thereafter, the successors of the officers whose terms are expiring shall be elected for four-year terms.Okla. Stat. tit. 11, § 16-211
