Section 5531.13 - Acquisition of property(A) The director of transportation may acquire or dispose of any public or private property or interests therein that the director determines to be necessary, convenient, or proper for the construction, improvement, repair, maintenance, administration, or operation of toll projects in the same manner as the director may acquire or dispose of such property for transportation facilities or highway purposes, under sections 5501.311 to 5501.34 and 5501.45 and Chapter 5519. of the Revised Code.(B) The director may enter into any contracts the director determines to be necessary, convenient, or proper for the construction, improvement, repair, maintenance, administration, or operation of toll projects in the manner provided in Chapter 5525. of the Revised Code or pursuant to a public-private agreement under sections 5501.70 to 5501.83 of the Revised Code.(C) The director may enter into any professional contracts the director determines to be necessary, convenient, or proper for the construction, improvement, repair, maintenance, administration, or operation of toll projects in the manner provided in Chapter 5526. of the Revised Code or pursuant to a public-private agreement under sections 5501.70 to 5501.83 of the Revised Code.(D) User fees and accounts within the Ohio toll fund established in section 5531.14 of the Revised Code may be used for the acquisition of property under division (A) of this section or pursuant to contracts entered into under division (B) or (C) of this section to the same extent permitted by section 5531.14 of the Revised Code with respect to obligations.Amended by 130th General Assembly, HB 533,§1, eff. 9/11/2014.Added by 128th General Assemblych., HB 2, §101.01, eff. 7/1/2009.
