Section 5309.64 - Transfer of title under order of sale(A) Whenever registered land is sold to satisfy any judgment, decree, or order of a court, or the title is transferred or affected by a decree or judgment of a court, the purchaser, or the person in whose favor such decree was rendered, on filing with the county recorder a certificate that the terms of sale have been complied with and a certified copy of the order of sale and return thereof and confirmation, or a certified copy of the decree of the court transferring or affecting the title, as the case may be, is entitled to have the property transferred to the purchaser or person in whose favor the decree was rendered and the title registered accordingly and a new certificate of title issued therefor.(B) When registered land is sold by the sheriff under order of a court, the sheriff shall file with the county recorder a certificate that the terms of sale have been complied with and a certified copy of the order of sale and return thereof and confirmation. The purchaser is thereafter entitled to have the property transferred to the purchaser and the title registered accordingly and a new certificate of title issued therefor.(C) This section and its applications are not superseded, negated, or amended, in whole or in part, by section 5309.61 of the Revised Code.Amended by 130th General Assembly, HB 72,§1, eff. 1/30/2014.Effective Date: 10-01-1953; 2008 HB138 09-11-2008
