Section 3311.741 - Municipal school district performance evaluation(A) This section applies only to a municipal school district in existence on July 1, 2012.(B) Not later than December 1, 2012, the board of education of each municipal school district to which this section applies shall submit to the director of education and workforce an array of measures to be used in evaluating the performance of the district. The measures shall assess at least overall student achievement, student progress over time, the achievement and progress over time of each of the applicable categories of students described in division (G) of section 3302.03 of the Revised Code, and college and career readiness. The director shall approve or disapprove the measures by January 15, 2013. If the measures are disapproved, the director shall recommend modifications that will make the measures acceptable.(C) Beginning with the 2012-2013 school year, the board annually shall establish goals for improvement on each of the measures approved under division (B) of this section. The school district's performance data for the 2011-2012 school year shall be used as a baseline for determining improvement.(D) Not later than October 1, 2013, and by the first day of October each year thereafter, the board shall issue a report describing the school district's performance for the previous school year on each of the measures approved under division (B) of this section and whether the district has met each of the improvement goals established for that year under division (C) of this section.
