Section 19-24.1-36 - Rules1. The department shall adopt rules as necessary for the implementation and administration of this chapter, including transportation and storage of marijuana and usable marijuana, advertising, packaging and labeling, standards for testing facilities, inventory management, and accurate recordkeeping.2. The department may adopt rules regarding the operation and governance of additional categories of registered medical marijuana establishments.3. The department shall adopt rules to establish requirements for reporting incidents of individuals not authorized to possess marijuana or usable marijuana under this chapter and who are found in possession of marijuana or usable marijuana. The rules must identify professionals required to report, the information the reporter is required to report, and actions the reporter shall take to secure the marijuana or usable marijuana.4. The department shall adopt rules to establish requirements for law enforcement officials and health care professionals to report to the department incidents involving overdose or adverse reaction related to the use of usable marijuana.Amended by S.L. 2021, ch. 352 (HB 1247),§ 98, eff. 9/1/2022.Added by S.L. 2017, ch. 171 (SB 2344),§ 1, eff. 4/18/2017.
