Section 14-12.2-44 - (610) Effect of registration for modification

A tribunal of this state may enforce a child support order of another state registered for purposes of modification, in the same manner as if the order had been issued by a tribunal of this state, but the registered order may be modified only if the requirements of section 14-12.2-45 or 14-12.2-46.1 have been met.

Effective on the date the department of human services certifies to the legislative council that the Hague convention on the international recovery of child support and other forms of family maintenance is ratified and that the United States deposited its instrument of ratification.
