Section 66-3-804 - Headlamps on motor vehiclesA. Every motor vehicle other than a motorcycle shall be equipped with at least two headlamps with at least one on each side of the front of the motor vehicle, which headlamps comply with the requirements and limitations set forth in Sections 66-3-801 through 66-3-887 NMSA 1978.B. Every motorcycle shall be equipped with at least one and not more than two headlamps that comply with the requirements and limitations of Sections 66-3-801 through 66-3-887 NMSA 1978.C. Every headlamp upon every motor vehicle, including every motorcycle, shall be located at a height measured from the center of the headlamp of not more than fifty-four inches or less than twenty inches to be measured as set forth in Subsection B of Section 66-3-803 NMSA 1978. The provisions of this subsection apply only to new motor vehicles sold after July 1, 1953.D.
