Section 53:2-28 - Construction of acta. The provisions of P.L. 2017, c. 324(C.32:23-229 et al.) are not designed and shall not be construed to limit in any way any rights granted or derived from any other statute or any rule of law for employees to organize in labor organizations, to bargain collectively and to act in any other way individually, collectively, and through labor organizations or other representatives of their own choosing. Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, nothing contained in P.L. 2017, c. 324(C.32:23-229 et al.) shall be construed to limit in any way the right of employees to strike.b. The provisions of P.L. 2017, c. 324(C.32:23-229 et al.)are not designed and shall not be construed to limit in any way any rights of longshoremen, hiring agents, pier superintendents, or port watchmen or their employers to bargain collectively and agree upon any method for the selection of those employees by way of seniority, experience, regular gangs, or otherwise; provided, that those employees shall be licensed or registered hereunder and longshoremen and port watchmen shall be hired only through the employment information centers established hereunder and that all other provisions of P.L. 2017, c. 324(C.32:23-229 et al.) be observed.Added by L. 2017, c. 324, s. 23, eff. 1/16/2018.
