Section 45:5A-36.1 - Alarm companies, certain fines imposed by local governments prohibited

A municipality, county, or other political subdivision of the State shall not adopt an ordinance or resolution or promulgate a rule or regulation authorizing the imposition of civil penalties or fines on a partnership, corporation, or other business entity engaged in alarm business for a false alarm that is not caused by an operational error, improper installation of an alarm, or the provision of defective equipment attributable to the business entity.
